Everpure CEO Charles Giancarlo states IT has spent 50 years designing data to serve applications and operating systems, with applications as the operational focus for the past three decades. Today, widespread app deployment and AI adoption are overturning this model, establishing data primacy in enterprise IT.
Enterprises operate hundreds of siloed applications with duplicated datasets. Basic workflows like customer quoting require cross-app data access, yet inconsistent data definitions create critical conflicts: “customer” data differs between CRM and billing systems, while “asset” records in ERP and supply chain platforms remain incompatible.
Solving this requires unlocking hidden semantic data context trapped in application silos via semantic knowledge graphs. Giancarlo emphasizes datasets must function as shared enterprise system-of-record assets. Data needs self-descriptive attributes, with cross-system relationships documented in standardized metadata.
Contextual metadata is stored alongside raw data, forming governed, reusable data assets for diverse apps and AI agents. This Universal Data Intelligence capability derives from Everpure’s February acquisition of contextual data intelligence startup 1touch.
The platform delivers enterprise-wide data discovery, classification and contextualization across on-premises, cloud, SaaS and legacy environments, building unified data catalogs and semantic knowledge graphs with three core capabilities:
Universal Discovery: Provides full visibility into structured and unstructured data across all storage formats and major databases including SQL Server and Oracle, pinpointing critical application data locations.
Automated Governance: Scans full infrastructures to identify sensitive PII and PHI data, track data lineage, and map enterprise data landscapes to sustain regulatory compliance and security.
AI-Ready Context: Links raw data to real-world business definitions via semantic graphs, enabling AI agents to understand, query and securely process cross-enterprise data.
Prakash Darji, Everpure Digital Experience BU GM, cited a sports medicine network use case: sensitive athlete data leaks cause compliance fines, distorted trade values and insider bidding risks. Everpure’s tools isolate these high-risk assets, uncovering 42 hidden sensitive athlete data files missed by traditional controls and mapping enterprise-wide data residency, usage and movement.
Unified Data Plane
Unveiled at Everpure 2025 Accelerate event under the Enterprise Data Cloud (EDC) framework, the Unified Data Plane and Intelligent Control Plane have been upgraded with new functional modules.
The updated Unified Data Plane builds a unified enterprise infrastructure foundation, eliminating performance silos, improving resource efficiency and bringing cloud-scale elasticity to on-prem data centers. New solutions include PurityTurbo-powered FlashArray//XL 190, Everpure Data Stream, Azure-native VMs and Evergreen//One Overdrive.
FlashArray//XL 190: Everpure’s flagship storage array delivers sub-100-microsecond latency and 930% higher per-rack-unit IOPS than legacy systems. Launched in September 2024, it features 25% higher capacity, 50% lower latency and double the performance of the //XL170 model, exclusively running Purity Turbo OS.
Standard Purity OS limits dual-controller arrays to one active read/write controller. Purity Turbo enables partial active-active operation, letting the second controller process read IO and expanding cross-controller cache capacity. The ST series remains Everpure’s highest-performance FlashArray lineup, above the XL190.
Everpure Data Stream: Automates data optimization and vectorization to match AI access patterns, turning raw data into AI-ready assets in days rather than weeks.
Evergreen//One Overdrive: Delivers temporary on-prem performance bursts to handle 25% traffic spikes without permanent upgrades. It extends on-demand resource support from capacity to performance, eliminating over-provisioning and boosting asset ROI.
Azure Native Virtual Machines: Deployed on Azure public cloud, these VMs decouple compute and storage to cut costs for storage-heavy workloads, supporting lift-and-shift deployment without code refactoring and native Azure portal management.
Intelligent Control Plane
This AI-driven control plane transforms manual, reactive storage management into a self-optimizing, secure system via natural language orchestration and predictive analytics, with four core features:
Workload Rebalance & Mobility: Enables zero-downtime cross-fleet workload migration to optimize capacity and stabilize application performance.
Copilot Workflow Execution: Allows admins to design, validate and run secure end-to-end infrastructure operations via natural language.
Enhanced Cyber Anomaly Detection: Analyzes cross-environment telemetry to spot coordinated threats and behavioral anomalies invisible to individual storage arrays.
Fusion Compliance & Agentic Triage: Automatically identifies configuration drift to enforce corporate governance, with agentic AI delivering root-cause analysis for fast remediation.
Darji noted upgraded open telemetry, Fusion and Pure1 MCP server capabilities. Building on 2024’s fleet and workflow tools, the platform adds LUN-level application intelligence, behavioral threat detection and automated compliance remediation.
Key automation use cases include Copilot-assisted vulnerability resolution, scheduled data audits, third-party tool integration via MCP servers, and collaborative human-AI problem-solving.
Everpure’s intelligent triage workflow monitors all storage fleets for latency issues, delivering autonomous, governed remediation. The AI agent identifies, validates and diagnoses faults, then escalates to teams or other agents. Users can trigger QOS adjustment or workload rebalancing via Slack; the agent monitors subsequent operations to prevent recurrence and close cases automatically.
Enterprise Data Cloud Blueprints
Everpure released a step-by-step EDC Success Blueprint for enterprise data cloud deployment and scaling. It starts with a risk readiness assessment, then provides a 10-pillar roadmap to migrate from manual operations to highly automated, efficient data architectures.
Customers receive official guides and customized workshop implementation plans. The EDC builds a unified, secure data fabric mapping data location, connections and semantics. Governance follows data context instead of app silos, AI workflows leverage shared enterprise context, and infrastructure adapts dynamically to real-world usage.
